CB Adam "Pacman" Jones is likely to rejoin the Cowboys Dec. 7 after serving his league suspension.

Pacman Jones Is Reinstated
ARLINGTON, Texas (AP)— The NFL is giving Adam “Pacman” Jones another chance.

Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said Wednesday the suspended cornerback has been reinstated by league commissioner Roger Goodell, but he must miss two more games—this Sunday and the following game on Thanksgiving. He’ll be back Dec. 7 at Pittsburgh.

Goodell suspended Adam Jones indefinitely on Oct. 14, saying he’d put a timeframe on it after the cornerback missed at least four games. This decision means it will be a six-game suspension. Jones also missed the entire 2007 season. By the time he returns, he will have been suspended from 22 of a possible 28 games.

    2B Pedroia Wins AL MVP
By Ben Walker, AP Baseball Writer
    11/19/2008

Nellie Fox was the last second baseman to become AL MVP, in 1959 with the White Sox. No position has produced fewer MVPs overall.

Pedroia drew 16 of the 28 first-place votes cast by members of the Baseball Writers’ Association of America and finished with 317 points.

It was a scattered ballot, with five players receiving first-place votes. Pedroia was even ...

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP)—With free agency awaiting him in 2010, LeBron James put on a show for the New York metropolitan area and its deep-pocket teams highlighted by length-of-the court sprint to block a dunk by Devin Harris.

The play that everyone will remember is the block. The 23-year-old James came from 20 feet behind the track down the Nets point guard, forcing him to rush a dunk that the high-flying James touched.

“I just never gave up on the play,” James said. “That’s how we all are. You never give up on plays no matter if a guy ...
